How We Intervene:
The Steps to Deliver the Best Solution
Informations request:

To provide the optimal solution, we require the client to supply as much detailed information as possible about their material(s). This includes:
-
A comprehensive chemical analysis of the material
-
An estimate of the monthly or annual production/arising volumes of the specific material

Simulation program:

Using the provided data, we perform an economic assessment based on current LME prices for the recoverable metal(s). This evaluation determines:
-
The minimum MVA rating (and therefore the optimal furnace size) best suited to the application
-
The quantities of reducing agent (e.g. locally sourced coke) and slag-modifying agents (e.g. silica sand or lime) required per tonne of material processed

Installing Technology:

As part of any furnace order, AIT Europa Engineering:
-
Conducts a preliminary site assessment to verify suitability in terms of:
-
Civil works (concrete foundations, raw material bunkers, personnel areas, etc.)
-
Mechanical infrastructure (overhead crane, feed hoppers, weightometers, conveyor belts, etc.)
-
Electrical systems (grid power availability, lighting, etc.)
-
-
Proposes and organises any necessary modifications or additions to the site
-
Designs, manufactures, and installs the furnace on-site, together with all ancillary equipment (e.g. air compressor, water cooling pumps, gas extraction system with reverse-pulse baghouse, etc.)
-
Commissions the furnace by training 3 or 4 operational crews (one crew per 8-hour shift) over a period of 2 weeks, covering all aspects of furnace operation and ancillary processes (including charge make-up)
